Terms of Use

Effective date: June 2, 2026

Cadence is provided by Digital Adaption as a reading and study tool. By using Cadence, you agree to use it responsibly and only with documents you have the right to access.

Use of the app

Cadence helps you read documents using adaptive word-by-word pacing, checkpoints, highlights, local search, and optional bring-your-own-key AI features. Cadence does not guarantee reading speed improvement, exam results, or comprehension outcomes.

Your documents

You are responsible for the files, text, URLs, and AI prompts you load into Cadence. Do not use Cadence to process documents if doing so would breach copyright, confidentiality, or another legal obligation.

Cloud Ask

Cloud Ask is optional and uses the AI provider, model, and API key you choose. Third-party AI provider costs, terms, privacy practices, limits, and output quality are your responsibility. Cadence sends selected excerpts only after consent, but AI outputs may be inaccurate and should be checked before relying on them.

Payments and refunds

If you buy Cadence through Google Play or another app store, payment and standard refund handling are managed by that store. Google Play normally offers automatic refunds for eligible purchases within its refund window. Digital Adaption may choose to offer additional support or refunds, but this does not replace the store's own rules.

Availability

Cadence is provided as-is. Local reading features are designed to work offline after the app shell is cached, but URL import, Cloud Ask, app store delivery, and third-party provider services require network access and may be unavailable or change without notice.
